- Not only did Henry VIII lack sufficient vitamin C (WORLD, Sept.
- 11), but so did 40% of the patients we examined in 1988 as part of
- a research program. To be accepted, these chronically ill people
- had to have been treated without adequate results by at least three
- physicians. None of these patients, who came from various parts of
- the country, had ever had their vitamin C levels checked.
- Ninety-eight percent of them achieved normal vitamin C levels
- within 100 days by eating raw fruits and vegetables and taking
- appropriate vitamin C supplements.
